"Autumn days when the grass is jewelled... Hands up...Who else loves Autumn? Here I've collected the hottest Autumn & Winter 2017 beauty and skincare buys I want right now! Get your beauty game going with these autumn beauty make-up staples. When the Autumn/Winter season creeps up on us all of a sudden, we usually decide to pull out our super-duper chunky knits (I love chunky knits so much!), knee-length boots and we focus on getting the wardrobe appropriate for the colder days. But what about our beauty regime? The weather gets harsher on our skin and the colour spectrum begins to change so we need to be on top of our skin and beauty game. A colder season is upon us already and and it's time to consider the key beauty looks, trends and tips for autumn/winter 2017. Here are my top AW17 beauty items: Shopping List of Autumn/Winter 2017 products for Skincare As the weather turns cold, my skin starts to feel dryer, so I’m always wanting to give it a little extra moisturising TLC. I tend to exfoliate and moisturise more in the winter, than in the summer months, and I always HAVE to use copious amounts of lip balm, hand and foot creams. Here is my shopping list for Autumn/Winter 2017 Skincare: Nip + Fab Bee Sting Fix Eye Cream £15.69 HERE Photo Credit: Superdrugs I saw this in Boots, the last time I went, and I had read about it on Cult Beauty’s blog previously, so I would love to try this Eye cream, as it’s very well reviewed, and I’d like to start thinking about keeping any premature wrinkles at bay. I like to keep my eye area super moisturised at night anyway, (even in Summer/Spring) so that they don’t look tired and dull in the morning. This product is said to contain Bee Venom which is excellent in controlling facial muscles, increasing your blood circulation and plumping the eye area. It’s meant to make your eyes look firmer and wrinkles smoother. It’s also got Propolis extract, which is an antiseptic, Cocoa butter for moisture, Shea butter to repair skin cells, and Elestan to give your skin elasticity. You’re meant to squeeze a tiny drop of this over your eyelid and under your eye. Totally need this in my life. Cherry Blossom Hand Cream by L’occitaine, £15 HERE Photo Credit: L'Occitane I’ve bought this hand cream before, and I really like the texture and the smell. It’s also got Shea Butter and Vitamin E in the ingredients, so it’s a great hand cream to invest in for Autumn/Winter17. When I used this before my hands always felt super soft, moisturised and delicately perfumed with Cherry Blossom’s fresh and flowery scent. Ole Henriksen Truth Sugar Glow Polishing Mask, £38, HERE Photo Credit: LookFantastic I’m always sold on natural ingredients in a pot. It’s really important to exfoliate your skin in Autumn and Winter to remove dead skin cells. This one is a vitamin boost for brighter complexion, with extracts from rose hips, pomegranate, plus sugar and honey. Lush Sleepy Body Lotion £7.95 HERE Photo Credit: Lush I love the dark evenings of Winter. I love how you can put the fire on and get cosy. I also love sleep far too much, so this product by Lush appealed to me straight away. Plenty of beauty bloggers have been raving about how wonderful this Lush Body Lotion is, so I do need to try this. Even if I don’t buy it right away, it’s definitely one, I’ll be buying later in Winter because this lavender and oatmeal based body lotion sounds like it will feel and smell delicious. I can't wait to try this out before bedtime on colder evenings. Shopping List of Autumn/Winter 2017 products for your Makeup bag We all have a signature make-up look, and often find everyday make up products that we are happy with for work. However, it’s lovely to be able to experiment with makeup, and as your wardrobe colour palette changes, so should your make up. I want to be a little more daring this Autumn/Winter and try out some Autumnal shades in eye-shadow, lipsticks and blush. Here’s what I have on my Autumn/Winter 2017 beauty buys shopping list so far: Chantecaille Save The Forest Eye Palette £76/12g HERE Photo Credit: Saks Fifth Avenue Such a beautifully ethical brand, that stands for something - their legacy is to spread awareness on global issues that really matter to people. So, every year, the founder of this make up and beauty brand, Chantecaille Sylvie, donate money to a selected charity of her choice. For the 2017's autumn palette, she is going to help protect the Virunga National Park in Africa. It's the habitat of the final few remaining gorillas in the world, and the proceeds of this palette are going to this place! How lovely. Mac Lipstick Sin shade, £16.50 HERE Photo Credit: Amazon Ultimate vampire lippy, as it’s a got gorgeous purple and brown undertones – it’s actually a burgundy shade. It’s glamorous, and bold. I just adore this colour, because it’s one that will suit every skin tone. I think it’s the type of lipstick that will make you feel dark and mysterious. Don’t you think it’s a beautiful rich shade? It’s like Diva's sister only more rebellious. Want want want! Huda Beauty Rose Gold Palette, £56 HERE Photo Credit: Cult Beauty This palette is one I’ve had my eye on for quite some time now, and my friends who have bought it, are raving about how fabulous it is. When it was launched by Huda Beauty, it was an instant sell-out, so I know we are talking SERIOUS beauty business here. Beauty junkies all around the world are in love with Huda Beauty products, me included. Benefit Cheek Parade, Limited Edition, £49.50 HERE Photo Credit: Benefit Cosmetics
I was in Boots recently, checking out the Hoola bronzer, that every YouTube Beauty sensation seems to have. I was approached then, by a Benefit sales rep, and she showed me the Benefit Cheek Parade, and convinced me how I MUST own one… if not at that time, then soon, because its limited edition! Is it worth the £49.50 price tag? Totally! It has all of the famous Benefit Blusher shades including Hoola, Hoola Lite, Rockateur, Dandelion and GALifornia – and the best thing about it is they are all full sized. Considering each individual blusher/bronzer is around £25, it’s a bargain purchase. This cheek palette will be good for Autumn/Winter and all year round with the lovely summery shades too. What is on your Beauty and Skincare Autumn/Winter 17 Wish list? Are you eyeing up any of the above products? Let me know 😊
